| Description | In reply to Patteson's letter of 5 September, under the Statues of the Society, Harrison has no power to receive any paper intended to be laid before the Royal Society unless it be communicated by a Fellow or Foreign Member of the Society. In the case of a paper intended for publication in the 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]' a short abstract of the main points of the communication should accompany the full paper. |
