DescriptionAn application from the organizers of the George Buchanan exhibition to be held this month in Glasgow University has been received for the loan of the Society's portrait of Buchanan. The application must be dealt with before the meeting of the Council in order to be in time and the President [John William Strutt] referred the application to Geikie for further information as to the nature of the exhibition. Quotes information provided by Geikie. Asks Darwin's opinion regarding a possible loan in view of Geikie's information.
