Title | Copy letter from Archibald Geikie, to Edwin Ray Lankester, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 13 December 1906 |
Description | The proposal to give £100 to Dr Andrews came before the Council last week in the shape of a letter from Philip Lutley Sclater. Geikie mentioned that the Royal Society had no more information than was contained in the brief application and it was suggested that it seemed rather a matter for the British Museum, but there was no money for it at present. It was agreed to grant the sum out of the Government Grant fund. Council should have been able to delay the matter until they had more information about it. |
