Title | Copy letter from Archibald Geikie, to Professor John Milne, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 22 January 1907 |
Description | Is very sorry to hear that Strasbourg has been corresponding direct with his stations, and especially that the originals were sent there. The Royal Society of course has no control over his stations or the Strasbourg organisation, but a resolution was lately passed by Council in support of his independence. It seems the only course is to instruct the observers at all his stations to inform Starsbourg that all communication on the work of their station should be addressed direct to Milne. |
