TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Reginald A Rye, Librarian, Goldsmiths, University of London
Date7 October 1907
DescriptionHarrison replies to Rye's letter, explaining the characteristic feature of the Royal Society's library as its collection of serial scientific literature from all over the world and enclosing the regulations which govern use of their library. As the London University Library is being arranged, he reminds them that they have an almost complete set of Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society, beginning in 1665, on loan, with new numbers sent as published.

He asks for assurances regarding the safety and condition of the set, and for Rye's reference encloses a copy of the memorandum of deposit made at the time of the loan.
