Description'Dear Sir,
In reply to your letter of the 24th instant, you may safely anticipate the permission of the Council of the Royal Society to reproduce in connexion with the article Sponges by Prof. A Dendy, an illustration, slightly modified, from Lendenfeld's Horny Sponges, plate 45, fig. 11, provided, as you state will be the case, due acknowledgement of the source is made.
