DescriptionM. C. Stopes, D. M. S. Watson's paper 'The present distribution and origin of the Calcareous concretions in Coal-seams, known as 'Coal Balls'' is partly geological and partly botanical. Seward has seen the paper and would communicate his thoughts to Scott if desired. [Aubrey] Strahan is to report on the geological side of the paper. The opinion of a second palaeobotanist is desirable. Queries if Scott can help.
