TitleCopy letter from Archibald Geikie, to Miss Florence Buchanan
Date1 August 1907
DescriptionBuchanan's paper on 'The Time taken in passing the Synapse in the Spinal Cord of the Frog' part I after having been submitted to refereed has only now been returned to the Society. Regrets this delay. The opinion of the Chairman of the Physiology Committee and referees is that while the paper considers the record of work of much value it is not suitable for the 'Proceedings of the Royal Society' and would be more appropriate in a publication such as the 'Journal of Physiology'. If Buchanan were to prepare a synopsis of the principal points dealt with in the full paper, it could be printed in the 'Proceedings'. She could also withdraw the paper, as it has not been read, and publish it in full elsewhere.
