TitleCopy letter from Joseph Larmor, to Professor George Forbes, [Fellow of the Royal Society]
Date12 December 1907
DescriptionLarmor explains that, after Forbes' paper was read, it was suggested to Larmor that the criticisms of the Admiralty contained in paragraph six would not be a suitable matter for the Proceedings of the Royal Society. He had misgivings about it previously, and now supports the withdrawal of that paragraph and the additional note he sent. Strictly speaking the matter should be referred to the Physics Committee which may not meet for some months.
