Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Professor J [John] A [Ambrose] Fleming, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 28 February 1908 |
Description | Harrison is anxious to get on with the lighting in the tea room but must get the scheme into a formal shape before he can obtain estimates and get to work. The experimental lighting from cornice has general approval on the part of the Fellows but Harrison should like to have some authority for carrying out that scheme on the other side of the panels. Harrison asks for a definitive scheme for the central lighting which they can submit to other members of the small committee and then obtain an estimate. The experience so far with Osram lamps is not very encouraging and there have been two examples of the lamps breaking after comparatively short use. Harrison asks if there is any doubt about the voltage of the supply. |
