Description'Dear Sir,
In answer to your enquiry I beg to say that no special form of introduction is required for strangers who wish to use the Library. We will keep your letter, which will suffice for the purpose. No doubt Mr Bispham will bring some sort of note from you. Any books he may borrow will of course be lent on your own responsibility. I enclose a copy of our printed regulations.'
