DescriptionJohnston-Lavis' kind offer to contribute to the forthcoming Soiree of the Royal Society and exhibition of his cartoons of the restoration of Vesuvius has been forwarded by Mr Lazarus Fletcher, but after due consideration of the situation the Royal Society has reluctantly come to the conclusion that they cannot find space for his cartoons on this occasion. Harrison writes to save his the trouble of bringing the cartoons overs from Paris as is understood from Fletcher he proposed to do. Harrison has sent an invitation to the Soiree to Johnston-Lavis' address in Paris.
