DescriptionRegarding their letter of 29 September, referencing Sir V Horsley's paper in 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]', Harrison informs Cowell that there is no recollection of an estimate of Bale and Danielsson being received. When Horsley sent in the paper he stated in his covering letter that the Royal College of Surgeons promised to defray the cost of the plates according to Bale and Danielsson's estimate.
