Title | Copy letter from Archibald Geikie, to Professor Sydney John Hickson, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 14 October 1908 |
Description | Regarding his letter on the matter of Mr Doncaster's paper, Geikie thinks that slips handed around at British Association meetings can hardly be regarded as publications in the sense intended by paragraph one on page 80 of the 'Year Book'. Geikie is writing to Professor [William] Bateson, that the papers by Mr Doncaster and Misses Durham and Marryat are considered more appropriate for the Evolution Committee's Reports than for the 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]'. Will also call to his attention the referee's complaint that he couldn't read Durham's paper. |
