TitleCopy letter from Archibald Geikie, to Mr Cameron Swan
Date21 October 1908
DescriptionMessrs Oliver & Boyd have taken out 25 copies of each of the ten plates which were found to be worst in the copy of the Portfolio received from them. Geikie finds that 50 percent of them cannot be passed. He should like Swan to come and judge for himself. Immediate steps must be taken to put the matter right. The volume is now ready for distribution, but it cannot be allowed to appear until these offensively defective plates have been made right.
