DescriptionWith reference to Sir Arthur Godley's letter (R & L 1631) of November 20th to the Royal Society on the subject of the appointment of an Editor of the Fauna of British India Harrison wishes to know what urgency there is in the matter referred to by the Royal Society. The Standing Advisory Committee of the Royal Society would not usually meet until after Christmas but if the question demands an immediate decisions meeting of the Committee will be summoned earlier.
