There are several matters now ripe for consideration by the Scientific Relief Committee, and since the Chairman, whose term of office expires on the 31st instant, has not been able to arrange a meeting before the holidays, I must apply to you for a date convenient to yourself after next week. Any day or hour in the week after next that suits you shall be fixed.'
