DescriptionOn the subject of the Measurement of the Arc in Africa. It was left to the President to fix the sum and Harrison understands it has been fixed to as much as £150. This grant is given on the understanding that no further claim will be made on the Royal Society and that the completion of the measurement of the Arc will now be undertaken by the Colonial Office.
