TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Mrs Rooke, 31 Castletown Road, West Kensington
Date10 December 1890
DescriptionThere is unfortunately not time for Rix to send Rooke's letter to Dr Michael Foster at Cambridge and for Mrs Rooke to obtain a reply before tomorrow but Rix can perhaps answer on his behalf as to how the matter stands with respect to the admission of ladies at the Royal Society meetings. The presence of ladies is not unusal. Ladies cannot be put down upon the visitors' list and introduced in the ordinary manner; but on some two or three occasions ladies have been present and no objection has been raised.
