TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Dr F [Frederick] F [Frost] Blackman FRS
Date22 March 1909
Description'Dear Dr Blackman,
With regard to Miss Jean White's paper on "The Ferments and Latent Life of Resting Seeds", considering the great distance away of the author we asked Dr D H Scott, the communicator, whether he would not take the responsibility of amending the paper in the sense of your comments which you sent in some ten days ago, but he does not see his wa[y] to doing this. The Secretary (Dr Bradford) desires me to ask you whether there is no way of avoiding the long delay (probably more than three months) which a communication with the author would entail, and if not whether you would share with him the responsibility of incurring that delay.'
