Title | Copy letter from John Rose Bradford, Secretary RS to The Under Secretary of State, Colonial Office |
Date | 23 May 1910 |
Description | With reference to The Under Secretary's letter of November 10 on the subject of the extension of Captains Hanerton and Bateman's stay in Uganda for a period of 6 months from December 31 with a view on completing Sleeping Sickness experiments. Harrison informs that a letter has been received from Captain Hamerton stating that the Sleeping Sickness Commission has lately obtained results of importance. The Committee of the royal Society are of opinion that it is desirable that Captains Hamerton and Bateman continue their investigations in Uganda until the end of next July. If HM Secretary of State agrees to this, Harrison asks the Colonial officer to communicate with Captain Hamerton by cable. |
