With reference to the paper by Messrs Soddy and Berry on "The conduction of heat through rarefied gases. II", and to your post card dated September 10th, I find that Part I of the paper, which was communicated by Sir Joseph Larmor, was not send to a referee but was accepted for publication forthwith. The new paper is so short that I am sending it to you by registered post in case you would like to read through it and possible authorise me to proceed with the printing in the absence of the Secretaries.' |
