Date22 March 1910
Description'Dear Sir,
We have only just made an appointment to the vacant clerkship here for which you were good enough to recommend Frank Marsden, and I owe it to you to let you know that we have decided in favour of a young man who had several years officer experience, and advantage over Marsden which we could not disregard. We also came to me through Dr Forster Morley's introduction.'
