DescriptionPresident and Council of the Royal Society had before them a letter from the Board of Education regarding an application from the Solar Physics Committee for a Grant in connection with the eclipse of next year. The Council decided to refer the letter to the Joint Permanent Eclipse Committee, and to ask that Committee whether they could recommend any provision for the purpose named in the letter out of the sum of £400 assigned provisionally to them by the Government Grant Committee.
