Description | Harrison thinks Mackie is under a misapprehension regarding Captains Hamerton and Bateman having received the formal thanks of the Royal Society for their services in Uganda. No formal letter of thanks has been sent to the members of the Sleeping Sickness Commission. A letter was written to the War Office on the subject of the services rendered by Captains Hamerton and Bateman to the Commission, and a similar letter regarding himself was also sent to the India Office last December. |
