Description'Replying to your letter of the 3rd instant the Royal Society is exempt, under certain Acts of Parliament, from the payment of Inhabited House Duty on the principal part of the premises it occupies in Burlington House; but that Duty is charges in respect of my official quarters and upon the rooms occupied by the HouseKeeper; on the former the duty amounts of £2-12-6, and on the latter to 17/6 per annum.'
