TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Professor W [William] J [Johnson] Sollas FRS
Date6 November 1911
Description'We are not putting your paper on Lapworthura in hand, and should be glad if you could let us have negatives to assist in reproducing the two plates. The only difficulty in connexion with these seems to be the size. As sent in, the figures compose plates just too large for our Phil[osophical] Trans[actions of the Royal Society] page. There seems very little to be gained by trimming the figures, even if allowable, and I fear we shall be driven to reduce them slightly. The reduction would only amount to about 1 in 16. A Similar slight reduction is required in one or two of the Text-figures.
This is the only difficulty. Otherwise the subjects are quite simple and can be easily and quickly reproduced by half tone blocks.
I may mention that there are 6 text-figures described, but only 5 seem to have been sent in. Possible Fig. 6 has been dispensed with. Its subject was "Models of vertebrate of onychaster". I enclose the plates for identification of negatives.'
