Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Sir David Gill, KCB, FRS |
Date | 5 March 1912 |
Description | With reference to Sir David's letter of the 1st instant, Harrison has written to the Secretary of the Academy of Science applying for any volumes of memoirs since the latest at the Royal Society library. Harrison has gone about this via one of our booksellers due to the old fashioned practices at the Academy. Their volumes have to be applied for and the person applying must have some document to show and the volumes are only published at long and irregular intervals. Harrison writes that until the Academy improves upon its antiquated practice, he does not see how the situation is to be improved, however Harrison shall no doubt get the volumes before long. Harrison enclosed two letter from M Bailland. [no enclosure] |
