Description'[?] the past of the Royal I have to request you to be so good as to convey to the Master and Fellows of St John's College our Sincere thanks for their most kindly offer of entertainment to those who will come to Cambridge in connection with the Society's Celebration in July next. I need not say that the invitation is accepted with great pleasure. I understand that as Oxford University, as represented by Wadham College, has also sent an invitation the detailed arrangements will be settled by agreement [?] the representatives of the two Universities.'
