Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Sir E [Edwin] Ray Lankester, KCB, FRS |
Date | 19 March 1912 |
Description | 'We have seen Mr Townsend about his block. He points out that the difference in quality of the prints is due to the different paper, mainly, and also partly to the different ink, the brown inks not being as sharp-printing as the blacks. He will show fresh pulls in black on two papers, and we will send you these, with corresponding brown pulls, for your final approval later in week. Of course you could have the art paper on which the first pulls were taken, but we dislike it because it is perishable. When you return final proofs, will you kindly return the original drawing, which has various instructions on it Ede and Townsend will require.' |
