Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Sir Archibald Geikie, President of the Royal Society |
Date | 3 June 1912 |
Description | 1. Sending a copy of the list of delegates so far appointed [no enclosures].
2. A letter from Sir William Barrett raises a question which is likely to recur. Harrison believes it was anticipated with Lord Stamfordham, but he should like to have Geikie's word on it. It is a difficult question because some of the most distinguished men on our list live with their sisters, for instance, Mr Balfour.
3. The pulls of plates for the Record came this morning from Mr Hart, and Geikie no doubt wishes for them to be sent down to him [in Haslemere]. Hart also sent up specimens of covers for binding the Charter Book. They are bulky, so they will not be sent down. |
