| Description | 'Harrison is directed to inform the Secretaries that the President and Council of the Royal Society had before them the nomination of representatives of the Royal Society upon the Join Permanent Eclipse Committee, and the following were reappointed:- Sir W de W Abney, Prof H L Callendar, Sir William Christie, Admiral Sir A M Field, Sir Joseph Larmor, Sir Norman Lockyer, Major P A MacMahon, Prof J H Poynting, Prof A Schuster, Lt Gen J F Tennant and Sir E Thorpe.
In connection to this the Council passed a resolution that the Secretaries be instructed to communicate with the Royal Astronomical Society as to arrangements regarding the nomination of Chairman or Secretary and the rota service of the Joint Permanent Eclipse Committee. |
