Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Messrs Murray, Hutchins, Stirling & Co, 11 Birchin Lane, EC |
Date | 20 January 1913 |
Description | Harrison acknowledge's Messrs Murray etc's letter of the 27th instant citing the terms of a bequest which a client of theirs is proposing to make to the Royal Society. The question of the readiness of the Society to accept a trust in those terms must rest with the Council before whom Murray's letter will be laid at their next meeting. In the meantime Harrison remarks that the purpose of the bequest would be made clearer by the insertion of the word "that" before the word "science" in the last line as the construction of the sentence is not clear. Harrison writes that if it would be of help he would be happy to come down by appointment to see a representative of their firm. |
