Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Sir Archibald Geikie, President of the Royal Society |
Date | 30 September 1913 |
Description | Received his letter of the 27 September yesterday, with enclosures from St Petersburg which has been acknowledged and put with the Council papers. One matter that must be raised is the Fellows at home which is held at the opening of the session. Presumes that it will be held on the evening of the first Council meeting day. Has seen the Treasurer after his short successful holiday. Sir William Crookes is back from Sark[?] looking younger and more vigorous than ever, in spite of his years. Is sorry to hear that Sir Andrew Noble[?] has been ailing. |
