TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Messrs Drake & Gorham, 2 Princes Mansions, Victoria Street
Date5 January 1892
DescriptionRix mentions that several weeks ago one of their men smashed one of the globes in the library [includes a sketched illustration], and asks whether it can be repaired at once as it is very untidy. He reports that the man said it would have to be made, but even allowing for that Rix believes it should have already arrived, and asks for assurance that the matter is being attended to.

He also mentions a light in the library, which sometimes does not kindle, and notes that although it has been attended to before, it always goes wrong again, and so some 'more radical treatment' may be needed.
