DescriptionBrady's letter of 28 January was presented to the President and Council of the Royal Society, who have asked Foster to reply to state that they accept with pleasure the gift of the late Henry Bowman Brady, a Fellow of the Society, and are prepared "to keep the books in one place" of their library "as a distinct collection".

Foster is also directed to convey their sympathies on the death of his brother, and their appreciation of his scientific work.
