Title | Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor John Perry, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 10 June 1891 |
Description | Rix describes Perry's letter of the previous day as 'somewhat alarming', stating that the absence of spinning top apparatus should be no reason why they could not have the other things promised.
Rix wonders whether their note to him was awkwardly expressed and gave the impression that they were indifferent about his exhibit; if so, it was the result of haste, and they are, in fact, anxious to have the novelties offered, especially as they have been printed in their programme. Arrangements for the necessary current have already been made with the Royal Society electricians.
He hopes that Perry will not withdraw his exhibit. |
