| Description | Rix reports that he had started preparing a card of meetings for the next sessions as usual, when he discovered that the Statute by which they prepare the card, namely XI. paragraph 2, has 'undergone disastrous alteration', leaving the Council to determine matters which were formerly fixed.
As the card has to be circulated in the first week in November, Rix asks that the Council decide at their first meeting in October whether they are going to have any meetings of the Society in the week after Christmas, and in the Anniversary week, and whether they are going to have any alteration at Easter. Rix also asks that Foster predict what the Council means to do, so that at least a few proof cards can be printed. The Royal Society clubs and others fix their dates by the Society's, and so they want to know at once.
