DescriptionRoscoe has been instructed by the Secretaries to send the accompanying remarks [not included] upon the paper by Roscoe and Mr [Joseph] Lunt, which have been received from the referees to whom the paper was referred. The secretaries have authorised the paper for publication in 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society', but before they begin, Rix wishes to know if Roscoe wants the paper back for revision in accordance with the referees' suggestions, and further notes that the Secretaries believe this should be done.
