TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Messrs W H Smith & Son, Strand
Date15 July 1891
DescriptionRix apologises for having misunderstood his letter, and states that all he asks is that they let him have 'The Times' no later than 7.45am, with any time earlier being acceptable. He simply wanted to emphasise that it would be of no use for the newspaper to arrive at 8am, or five minuted before; the neighbouring agents cannot deliver it until 8am, at which point it may as well arrive at noon.

Rix returns their cheque, and asks that they send 'The Times' tomorrow morning, and subsequent days until further notice. He also asks that they send copies for Monday, Tuesday and today to complete their file, and corrects their address as being "The Royal Society" and not "The Royal Academy"; he speculates that the paper was sent there on Monday.
