TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to the Secretary, Gaslight & Coke Company
Date27 July 1891
DescriptionRix explains that they have reason to believe that their gas meter registers usage in excess of their actual consumption, and so asks if they will have it tested, and if they discover it is faulty, that they disconnect it and loan another meter for the duration of the repairs. If, as Rix suspects, the error is down to the London County Counil, he asks if they can let him know to what department he should write.
