|Evans encloses and returns to Auld & Macdonald the Bond relating to Dr Gunning's proposed endowment, which he notes was read to the President and Council of the Royal Society at their recent meeting. He quotes the resolution from the minutes which states that the terms of the bond be accepted and that the Secretary inform Gunning that the President and Council are willing to accept the trust created by the bond and the 'great liberality shown in His Excellency's offer'. The substance of the resolution has been communicated to Gunning by the Secretary.
