Description'The Committee of the Royal Society for advising the Government on subjects connected with the War at their meeting yesterday appointed you Chairman of the Chemistry sub-Committee, with Sir Edward Thorpe as Vice Chairman, and nominated Professor Crossley to act as Secretary to the sub-Committee. The constitution of the sub-Committee is as follows:- Dr H B Baker, Dr G T Beilby, Prof A Crossley, Prof W H Perkin, Sir William Ramsay and Sir Edward Thorpe/
All the sub-Committees are to hold their first meetings here on Thursday, November 26th at 2.30.'
