Description'Replying to your letter of the 6th instant, I have just copied down the inscription on the back of the portrait of Viviani and it runs as follows: "Vincensic Viviani, Orginiale, D Plero Dandani, No. 4".
The inscription on the reverse of the Gallileo Medal is as follows: "Natus Pisia in Italia. An. M.D.I.XIV. Obit. An. M.DO.XLII. Series Numismation Universalis Virorum Illustrium. M.DOCC.XVIII. Durand Edidit".
