Description'I have to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 9th instant, which shall be laid before Council in due course. In the meantime I am authorised to say that you may anticipate their formal permission to reproduce the figure illustrating your paper published in the Proceedings of the Royal Society. Vol 86B, p 483, provided that due acknowledgement of the course is made.
On haring from you I shall be pleased to instruct our printers to prepare an electro of this block for your use.'
