Description'The Chairman of the Physics and Chemistry Committee has asked me to send you the enclosed paper by Mr Bousfield for your opinion, and I am to ask you, if possible, to let us have your report not lated than midday on Thursday as there is a meeting of the Committee in the afternoon of that day.
I also send for your information, by direction of the Chairman, the report of the first referee, together with Mr Bousfield's reply to his critic.'
