Description'Earlier in this month the Royal Society approached the Belgian Legation and the President of "Belgica" with a view to establishing communication with any Belgian men of science who have sought refuge in this country from Belgium; and we have now been referred to you for the desired information. I therefore have been directed to forward you the enclosed copy of the letter with was address to the Belgian Legation, and to express the hope that you may be able to put the Royal Society in a position to carry out its intentions.'
