Title | Copy letter from William Bate Hardy, Acting Biological Secretary of the Royal Society to Professor John Bretland Farmer FRS |
Date | 20 May 1915 |
Description | 'The Indian Government have informally asked the Royal Society to express an opinion as to the value of the scientific work of Professor Bose. It is felt that the Royal Society as a body cannot do this; but if you consent I will propose that the enquiry be passed on to yourself, as Chairman of the Botany Committee, and to Bayliss, as Chairman of the Physiology Committee, and that you make a report in your capacity as individuals.' |
