Description'The President rather tried after the Council meeting yesterday, and consequently asked me write for him in [?] to your and Prof Sollas' letter on the subject of the dangers to which young scientific [men] are exposed at the front; saying that the whole question of satisfying the scientific talent of the country is now under consideration by a Committee, but that the proceedings are confidential, and that therefore he cannot say more at present.'
