Date24 August 1915
Description'I have heard from Mr Towle (the Government Grant Clerk) about the matter of the Geological Maps, raised in your letter of the 14th instant. He however says he has no authority to sell. He suggests Sir Archibald Geikie might very properly be consulted, and adds that there are plenty of the maps in stock.
If you think proper the write to Sir A Geikie on the point, we will act on any instructions received from him whether to sell or to give the fascicule you require.'
